Mechanical Site Manager – Data Centre Close-Out – Cologne / Frankfurt – 3-Month Contract

Our client, a global leader in the delivery of mission-critical infrastructure, is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Site Manager to support the project close-out phase of a large-scale data centre programme in Germany.

This 3-month contract role is focused on defect resolution and final coordination activities on completed sites across Cologne and Frankfurt. Ideal for someone with a mechanical trade background, the role requires close collaboration with client, contractor, and supply chain teams to ensure all outstanding issues are closed to the highest standard.

MUST SPEAK FLUENT GERMAN and ENGLISH
(This is a client-facing role requiring on-site coordination in both languages.)

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical snagging and defects closure across completed data centre sites
• Coordinate directly with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve outstanding issues
• Ensure all close-out documentation, test reports, and certifications are complete and compliant
• Oversee the final inspection and handover process in line with client expectations
• Maintain daily logs, issue trackers, and progress reports
• Attend site meetings and represent the client on all mechanical close-out matters
• Travel between Cologne and Frankfurt as required

Candidate Profile:

• Mechanical trade or engineering background with at least 5 years’ site management experience
• Proven track record in defects resolution, commissioning support, or project close-out
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems within data centre or large infrastructure environments
• Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate teams and manage time-sensitive tasks
• Fluent in German and English – essential for on-site collaboration
• Based in or willing to travel to Cologne and Frankfurt for site presence
